Barnklubben Elsa Rix #1

​Välkommen!

Founded in 1921, Barnklubben Elsa Rix #1 is Americas oldest and longest running children’s Swedish dance club. 



Located on Long Island, N.Y., Elsa Rix has been a staple in the Swedish community throughout the tri-state area, having performed at many annual events, big and small. Our two biggest events have been our Lucia Pageant, which occurs in December on Long Island, and participating in the Swedish Midsummer Festival in NYC, with is co-sponsored by the Consulate General of Sweden and the NY and Battery Park City Authority.

Elsa Rix is free to join and open to children ages 2-18. Any child with an interest in Scandinavian culture is welcome to join, even if you aren't Swedish! We welcome new comers at any point during the year, and invite you to come and join us for a practice or two, to see if you like it.
