No fees, just fun!

Elsa Rix meets the first and third Friday evenings of the month (Sept.-June) in West Hempstead, N.Y. and is open to children ages 2-18.

​

There are no membership fees, costumes are loans from the club and it is run by volunteers (former Elsa Rix kids) and helpful parents. During practices children learn traditional Swedish folk dances, and leading up to the Christmas season, Swedish Christmas carols! 

​

Practices aren't just dance, dance, dance, the children also have time to hang out, get to know each other, and of course, have a snack. There is no official end time, but usually last about 1.5 hours. We know life can get hectic, and attendance isn't mandatory for every practice, but is encouraged.

​

Like many other cultural organizations, membership in Elsa Rix can lead to college scholarships for our members when the time comes. As well as a wonderful and different type of extra curricular on their applications.
